Freshwater pearls are a natural product and variations in the pearl will always occur. So each necklace is totally an individual piece.
Freshwater pearls are cultured with tissue grafting. Small tissue slices from another mollusk are inserted into the oyster to yield pearls. The mollusk forms nacre around this alien tissue to protect itself, and thus a pearl is formed…..
